Nintendo is a video game developer, publisher and console creator, founded in 1889 by Fusajiro Yamauchi, as a company dedicated to hanafuda playing cards and later, cab services and love hotels before shifting to video games in the 70s and breaking through the industry with the 1981 hit game Donkey Kong and later releasing the first video game console after the Video Game Crash of 1983, the Family Computer as it is known in Japan and the Nintendo Entertainment System as it is known in the West.
Since then, Nintendo continued to grow in the industry, becoming one of it's major players until this day. They revolutionized the gaming industry with their creations, such as Mario and Pokémon and created multiple succesful and classic video games, considered to be the best to this day such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Super Metroid.
